Developing Leadership Competencies

Critical to the success of every enterprise is the quality of leadership. The dearth of effective leadership is the single largest contributor to the under-performance of many organizations. It accounts for the growing developmental and governance challenges across many institutions. Workplace conflicts, intergroup tensions, policy deficiencies, process inefficiencies and low morale at workplaces, are all consequent on poor leadership skills. The development of effective leadership competence is fundamental for the success of individuals and organizations.

Objectives

This course is designed to get participants to understand and know that Leadership is the art of influencing people to work enthusiastically toward achieving individual and corporate goals. Participants will learn that leadership is other-centred behaviour. Learn that leadership is service and sacrifice. They will understand how leadership is reflected in their everyday work engagement.  Participants will equally understand and apply the different leadership models that drive workplace efficiency and organizational goals.
